A Kenyan-born Alexander Kinyua Confesses Eating Heart and Brain of a Ghanaian House Guest in the US

A couple of days ago, I read the shocking news of Rudy Eugene’s cannibalistic attack on a homeless old-man (Ronald Poppo) along a busy highway in Miami, Florida (US). Never for the life of me thought I’ll be writing today on another cannibalistic attack by a fellow countryman (Kenyan) which took place in Maryland.

The attacker’s name is Alexander Kinyua, 21-year-old Morgan State University student, who confessed killing Kinyua’s family guest Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie (Ghanaian) with a knife then eating his heart and portions of his brain!!! The incident took place in Kinyua’s family home in Joppa, Maryland.

According to the sherrif’s office, Alexander Kinyua hid the head and hands of the dead Agyei-Kodie in his family’s basement laundry room. Antony Kinyua, Alexander’s dad, is the one who called the detectives and reported that another son, Jarrod, discovered what he believed were human remains in the house where they all lived.

Apparently, Jarrod discovered two metal tins, which held a human head and two human hands. According to the Police’s statement, Jarrod confronted his brother, who claimed the remains were animals. Jarrod went to call their Dad to show him the remains only to find out they were gone and Alexander was cleaning the container Jarrod saw the remains hidden. The detectives later found the remains (severed head and hands) in the house after obtaining a search warrant. Other more of the remains were found dumped in a trash container outside a church. It is then Alexander confessed to the killing and eating of the body parts. He has been charged with first-degree murder with no bail in the death of Agyei-Kodie (37-year-old); who had gone missing since 25th (4 days before his remains wee discovered). His dad had reported on Agyei-Kodie’s missing last Friday after going for a jog.

The incident took place in a matter of days of Alexander’s online rant (in Facebook) about human sacrifices and death cults. Also, on 19th of this month, Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said Alexander attacked a man with a baseball bat on Morgan’s campus; fracturing his skull and making him lose sight in one eye. He was arrested the following day and released on 220,000 USD bail.

Baltimore’s ccurt records also has revealed that the victim (Agyei-Kodie) was convicted for assault in September 2007 and harassment, stalking and telephone misuse for making repeated calls in 2007 and 2008 to a woman and sex offense in November 2008 in Baltimore County. He was sentenced to at least a year and a half in jail. He was living with the Kinyua family in the past six months.

The Baltimore Sun reported that Kinyua’s fellow students at Morgan State University said his behavior had become progressively more troubled in recent months. He was in his third-year as electrical engineering major.

Clearly the boy was not mentally fit and it did not start recently. It’s a problem that he must have had for years since that act he did is rarely done within a short period of someone contemplating to do it. In fact, behavioral science 101 will tell you that he was a serial-killer in the making and must have even practiced the killing with animals before the recent despicable incident. Too bad he did not get help before his mental problem escalated.

The funny thing is, Alexander can get away with all this by ending up detained in a mental institute instead of jail. That’s how things are in the West. I won’t have believed this fact had I not came across another cannibalism act here in Canada where the killer ended up in mental institute instead of serving lifetime jail term or even killed for his actions. A Chinese man brutally slaughtered a 19-year-old in a Greyhound bus and ate part of the forehead.

In the midst of finishing this article, I see another piece of news from Sweden where a professor cut off his wife’s lips and ate them after believing the wife is having an affair! Now this feels like a zombie movie!

Stay alert peeps! Cannibalism on the rise…or not!
