Kenyan Ministers, George Saitoti and Orwa Ojode, Die in a Police Chopper Crash

A week after plane accidents in Ghana and Nigeria, another air flight accident has hit Kenya. Ministers George Saitoti (Internal Security) and his deputy Orwa Ojode along with four others (two pilots and two bodyguards) died when the Police chopper they were onboard crashed in Kibiku area in Ngong forest few hours ago.

Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka confirmed the death of the two ministers along with the four other on boarders after he arrived at the scene.

The late Saitoti and Ojode were taking the transport from Wilson Airport to the latter’s Ndhiwa Constituency for a church fundraising event. Witnesses claim the chopper was full smoke while tumbling down from the sky. It crashed and exploded into fierce flames upon hitting the ground.

Coincidently, the tragedy has occurred exactly 4 years after another chopper carrying MPs Kipkalya Kones and Lorna Laboso crashed in Narok.
